Inspired by their achievements, they decided to offer the same data-driven SEO strategies to external clients, marking the beginning of Menford’s journey as a specialized link-building agency.

Our first major project came from Cyprus, in the financial sector. The team was tasked with executing a high-impact link-building campaign, securing backlinks from top-tier Italian financial newspapers.
This early success validated Menford’s expertise and set the foundation for its growth. In its early years, we focused primarily on the Italian market but quickly expanded to Spanish-speaking regions.
With a proven scalable system, we moved into Portuguese-speaking markets, followed by German and Polish, and eventually grew to operate in almost 50 different markets worldwide.
Adapting to Change: Facing Crisis to Become Stronger
Like any fast-growing company, we encountered critical moments that truly tested our resilience. Challenging blows that initially set us back, but ultimately proved to be an opportunity for evolution and growth:
Many clients drastically reduced or canceled their link-building budgets, impacting the entire industry. Menford adjusted its approach by diversifying its strategies and enhancing its service offerings to support clients during the crisis.
At the time, Russia was Menford’s 4th largest market, experiencing rapid growth. Due to international sanctions, that market collapsed to zero overnight, forcing the company to shift its focus to other regions.
Despite these challenges, Menford adapted quickly, reinforcing its international presence and refining its service offerings. By 2024, our agency expanded beyond vertical blog outreach and link-building, offering comprehensive SEO services. This strategic shift positioned the company as a global SEO partner for some of the biggest brands in competitive industries like crypto, gambling, and finance.
